What is Abroad View magazine?

Abroad View
, the global education magazine for students, is published biannually by the Abroad View Foundation, Inc. Content for Abroad View and its webzine are produced by students for students, with the purpose of fostering global awareness and cross-cultural understanding, engagement, and action.

How and when is Abroad View distributed?
More than 20,000 Abroad View magazines are distributed free of charge to students at U.S. colleges and universities through the facilitation and support of member study abroad offices and international centers. Magazines are distributed in quantities of 1 to 300 copies by September 15 and February 15 each year.

Who is responsible for the editorial production of Abroad View?
Abroad View
is produced by an annually rotating staff of Northwestern University Medill School of Journalism students, under the guidance of the Abroad View Foundation, the Medill School faculty, and the Northwestern University Study Abroad Office. Education Abroad professionals serve on Abroad View's rotating Editorial Board for a term of three years or more, assisting in oversight and development of Abroad View's editorial.

Abroad View's environmental policy:
Abroad View
recognizes the environmental impact of publishing a print magazine and takes measures to minimize waste and ensure efficiency. Its printer maintains ink efficiency and an active recycling program. Abroad View has been printed on recycled paper since the spring of 2007. Its paper, "My Connection," is 90% to 100% recycled content with 30% post-consumer waste. It is produced by Myllykoski in Alsip, Illinois, and it helps to keep paper out of Chicago's landfills.
