Welcome to the University Studies Abroad Consortium, fondly known as USAC. USAC is a consortium of 33 U.S. universities which has been providing study abroad programs for over 27 years. We offer programs at 40 locations in 25 countries for summer, semester and yearlong duration.

Our mission is to provide students with the opportunity to develop the knowledge, skills, experiences and attitudes to prepare them for the global society of the 21st century. We believe studying abroad is the most effective way to accomplish these goals.

With USAC you have many different options for study abroad. You may choose from summer (3-6 weeks), semester and yearlong programs. All programs provide university credit and you can find courses for virtually any major!

USAC programs are affordable, starting at $1,780. Last year USAC awarded $250,000 in scholarships. Financial aid and other scholarships can be used towards your study abroad.

Many program locations offer internships which may be customized to meet your major requirements. 

When studying abroad with us, you earn U.S. university credit and / or credits which are transferable to your home university. Since we are a consortium of U.S. universities and a non-profit organization, we know how university processes work and how to work with them.

USAC offers intensive language classes at a number of levels in:

USAC provides outstanding foreign and U.S. university faculty, offices and classes at local universities, program organized field trips and excursions. Conversation partners, volunteer opportunities, cultural and sporting activities and university clubs are also available to you.

USAC provides several housing options for our programs. Each program varies, however choices include living with local university students, homestays with local residents or apartments with other international students.
