Luis Otavio Q. Colaferro will be studying Brazil's social and economic challenges. He became a Green Passport holder because he believes in sustainable development and the dimensions that it can take. He believes that its core ideas can be extended not only to the grounds of environmental challenges, but also to the educational, socioeconomic, and international levels.

As part of Luis's Liberal Studies major, he studies Ethics and Sustainability in Global Business.
He intends to become affiliated with the Student Environmental Coalition in the upcoming year in order to spread the idea of environmental sustainability around Grand Valleys’ campuses. He is involved with business organizations and other student organizations that attempt to implement social responsible practices around the Grand Valley community. He also does work at a LEED certified building, which he appreciates and feels rewarded for

Above all, Luis believes these and many other practices should become our social values and standards and part of our intuitive actions. "There is no single way you can develop a world without having one," he says. "Let’s all form the grounds to continue building together for the sake of a better a future."
