Barbara Ganley's Thoughts on Photography

A Lecturer in the Writing Program and English department at Middlebury College,
Barbara Ganley
is an active implementer of new media and social software into literature and writing classrooms. Her special interests include digital storytelling as a means of academic discourse and integrated web technologies as a vehicle for expression, community-building, and student-centered learning. Barbara keeps a renown edublog called, bgblogging on which she reflects on her teaching-with-technology journey and her evolution as a user of New Media in the writing classroom. She tries to keep up with developments in the field and entice peers into discussions with her about their experiences with blogs, digital media and all manner of emerging tools and applications. She teaches a range of weblog-base writing courses and a contemporary Irish literature and film course. This summer, she has started BGexperiments a creative space for play with new modes of expressions and technologies.
